The Surgical Unit of the PMC Children’s In-Patient Hospital carries out circumcision, surgical treatment of inguinal and umbilical hernias, cryptorchism, phymosis, hydrocele and varicocele, syndactyly and polydactyly. Malignant tumours and cysts’ soft tissues are operated on.

- Various diseases and traumas:
- Acute virus infections;
- Diseases of respiratory organs– constrictive laryngitis, bronchitis, including bronchitis with obstructive syndrome, pneumonia;
- ENT diseases ENT –otitis, tonsillitis, angina, adenoiditis;
- Infections of urinary system, vulvitis;
- Acute gastroenterocolitis of various ethiology.
- Special preparation for making some diagnostic examinations and studies, if parents can not make them themselves.
- After applying diagnostic procedures (for example, contrast radiological examinations, etc.), remedial measures (endoscopic treatment of ENT organs, surgical operations – lancing of abscess, etc.), when medical monitoring is to be performed.
- During the IV-infusion of antibacterial drugs, blood agents, immunoglobulin, vaccines (according to indications), etc., after hyposensitizing therapy.
- During necessary emergency help for conditions, arising during the patient’s staying in outpatient clinic (for example, bronchial asthma attack, laryngotracheitis, etc.)
- For periodic health examination.

The department with isolation wards of a multi-field Children’s In-Patient Hospital consists of five wards and one individual box (that is a box with separate entrance) and can accommodate children from 2 months till 15 years of age. Isolation wards are equipped with everything necessary for respective treatment of any pathology.
It is important that:
Hospitalization of a child is made together with mother, babysitter or other relative of your choice to a separate ward, having everything necessary for comfortable living of children and parents. The ward interior, colour of the walls and floor are selected with regard of favourable psychological effect on child and mother.
